The committee has been severely depleted with the resignation of the Chairman, minutes Secretary and the relocation of the secretary and now needs new blood. If you are in any way interested, you will be welcomed and set to work for the 2017 Show. If we do not have the personnel to run the next Show, then there is every possibility that there will be no Show in the future. Would you want that? Please help to keep this Village event going.

The Society’s new programme of meetings and events for 2016/2017 has now been finalised and is available here. We’ve moved from quarterly meetings to a programme which runs from September through to April – talks are being held on a range of subjects and new members are always welcome. If you’ve an interest in things from the past, do come along and join us.

Do you need some early inspiration for Christmas present ideas? Then the Mitford Christmas Craft Fair is for you. This year’s Fair will be held in the Village hall on Saturday 5th November between 10.30am and 3pm. A selection of high quality items made by Northumbrian crafters is available including beauty products, ceramics, fused glass, jewellery and chocolates, to name a few.
