Be Vigilant!

Please see this update from the Police – There have been various issues in the Morpeth area recently regarding diesel thefts from various machines left unattended at farms and building sites. A quad bike was stolen from Stannington overnight 10/01/17 and a trailer type horsebox from Longwitton 11/01/17 – however this was recovered from Cramlington later that day.  There have also been break-ins to sheds and unlocked motor vehicles reported.  Please make sure your property is locked and secured at all times.  If you have large machinery please do not leave it with a full diesel tank overnight if possible.

St Leonards Lane

The contractors have said that St Leonard’s Lane is currently open to traffic and this will remain the situation until sometime in February (date to be confirmed).  After that, work will start on tying in the surfacing from the link road and carrying out some repairs under a short term FULL closure.
